PHP web databases
are, for example, address databases, customer databases, real estate databases, project databases, product databases, skills databases or any other databases that store business data securely and are easy to enter, change and retrieve. Intuitive masks recognize and prevent errors when entering data and thus improve data quality. As the icing on the cake, an attractive design promotes rapid acceptance and appreciation by users. A web database can be used both in the company intranet and on the Internet / WWW. MySQL is typically used as the SQL database, but Microsoft SQL Server can also be used on request. PHP web applications
or web applications are "real" applications on the internet or intranet that support important business processes: e.g. purchasing, sales, production, project management, etc. In contrast to other PHP applications, the web design usually takes a back seat, while the correctness of the functionality, the technical logic and the data are given top priority. PHP web applications are almost always programmed with ZEND Framework, PEAR or Symfony, and JavaScript, JQuery or Prototype are often used for the web interface in addition to HTML & CSS. Almost anything you need can be realized through individual web development.
PHP Forms
record data (e.g. by employees, customers, suppliers or other persons) that must be entered manually, saved and then processed further as required. A form supports a business process by "taking the data entry person by the hand", explaining all input fields, immediately checking all user input and correcting any errors found - thus avoiding incomplete or even incorrect input data and optimizing data quality. A sophisticated workbook protection system prevents unintentional or intentional operating errors, which is why a form is often referred to as a mask, checklist or questionnaire, depending on the situation. But forms can not "only" increase data quality - they can also be fun: convenient input aids such as selection lists or calendars quickly find favor with users, while an attractive design ensures that a new form is quickly accepted and appreciated. PHP product configurators
enable the customization of products directly in an online store: customers can configure "their" items directly in the online store, add them to the shopping cart and buy them, e.g. T-shirts, jerseys, textiles, posters, flyers, mugs, promotional items, signs, jewelry and more. A store product configurator is programmed individually for the store items to be sold with it and, depending on the items, enables e.g. color selection, text design and / or image upload. If customers change an item, its preview and (if desired) its price also change immediately: customers can see on the screen in real time what they will be ordering and how much it will cost. Even 3D product presentations are possible! (See THIMM reference for a visual impression.) Intelligent masks prevent incorrect orders and thus reduce the support effort; as the icing on the cake, a smart design increases the attractiveness for customers and makes them "want to store". PHP interfaces
connect a PHP-based website with your own or third-party software, e.g. with a payment service provider, a data supplier or a merchandise management system. PHP interfaces can be programmed using SOAP web services or via JSON, for example. PHP payment system connections

Development of an online registration page for the national mathematics competition(2024)
Bildung und Begabung gemeinnützige GmbH commissioned eWorks 2023 to program a registration page for the national mathematics competition. The aim of the project was to digitize the previously handwritten registration forms.
Development of a public web database for citizens' petitions with interactive map & filter options(2024)
In 2018, the University of Wuppertal commissioned eWorks to design and develop a web database for citizens' petitions in German-speaking countries. The aim was to develop a modern online database that is available to the public online and also offers a large number of users the opportunity to actively participate in maintaining the data.
Website optimization and website support for the German Nutrition Society (DGE)(2023)
As part of our collaboration with the German Nutrition Society (DGE), we were commissioned with the optimization and technical support of five specialist pages on the topic of health-promoting and sustainable communal catering. The focus was on upgrading the TYPO3 multifunctional site from version 7.6 LTS to version 11.5 LTS, including the necessary adjustments to the TYPO3 extensions used and ensuring accessibility in accordance with the requirements of the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0).
Creation of a Shopware 6 online store for Zimmer + Rohde(2021)
Zimmer + Rohde GmbH from Oberursel commissioned eWorks, a Frankfurt-based Shopware e-commerce agency, to develop a B2B store for high-quality home textiles in sophisticated designs in July 2021. Zimmer + Rohde is a modern textile publisher for luxurious covers, curtains and wallcovers and wanted to have a professional online store created to digitize sales and boost online sales. The aim was to develop an online store on the then brand-new Shopware 6 platform that could map all individual customer needs and meet high standards. As well as a second store for the subsidiary brand "ADO Goldkante" with identical functionality but an independent web design. Zimmer + Rohde approached various Shopware partners for this. eWorks, a Shopware development agency specializing in innovative e-commerce solutions, was chosen from the online store agencies approached due to its outstanding programming expertise and numerous certified Shopware developers.
Development of the mobile app 100 Sekunden Morgen for Android & iOS(2024)
On behalf of the RKW Competence Center, eWorks 2023 took over the development of the mobile app "100 Sekunden Morgen" including the associated backend. The aim was to develop an app based on a cross-platform framework so that it did not have to be developed separately for Android and iOS. The backend was to offer the client's editors an easy way to create and maintain new content, which would then be displayed by the app.

Online store creation www.co2-footprint.ch for Swiss Climate AG(2021)
Swiss Climate AG from Bern has commissioned eWorks as a long-standing OXID partner to develop and support a powerful online store for the sale of CO₂ compensation certificates based on OXID eShop. Swiss Climate AG is a consulting company in the areas of CO₂ management, sustainability, climate protection projects and energy and offers companies profitable and innovative solutions to shape a sustainable future, have a positive impact on the environment and society, increase profits and strengthen their image at the same time. To promote these goals, Swiss Climate AG wanted to have an online store created in order to be able to calculate CO₂ offset certificates fully automatically via a web store, generate them in real time and sell them online as virtual goods. In 2020, offers were obtained from various online store agencies - eWorks was awarded the contract in 2021.
Online store creation for expert-TechnoMarkt(2022)
The consumer electronics chain expert TechnoMarkt (Alling) is one of the largest members of expert SE with around 500 employees at 14 locations and has commissioned eWorks as a Frankfurt-based OXID agency with the store programming https://www.expert-technomarkt.de for the sale of electrical and electronic goods in B2C. The eCommerce solution "OXID eShop Enterprise Edition" from the online store provider OXID eSales AG (Freiburg) was used as the standard software in order to achieve maximum functionality, usability and security while keeping time and costs to a minimum. As an official OXID partner from Frankfurt, eWorks was able to support its client in almost all technical matters, from installation, customizing and web design to OXID programming with PHP & MySQL.
Web presence for attorney Nemzov(2022)
The established lawyer Nemzov from Wiesbaden presents itself with a modern website. It was given a new, industry-typical design and was implemented using PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery.
Development of a budget billing calculator(2022)
The Peine Water Association provides drinking water supply, wastewater disposal and flood protection services for 30 municipalities in south-eastern Lower Saxony and northern Hesse. eWorks was commissioned to develop an online discount calculator for the customers of the Peine Water Association.
Online store support and development www.trendversand-24.de(2022)
In 2021, Trendversand-24 commissioned eWorks, a long-standing Shopware and OXID agency from Frankfurt, to migrate an existing ePages store at 1&1 and IONOS to OXID eShop. The objective was to transfer the existing business model into a modern but self-sufficient web store directly from the OXID partner without dependence on an online store provider and without monthly license costs.
Development and technical support of an individual ERP system(2022)
Kaufmann GmbH commissioned eWorks 2022 to develop an ERP system tailored to the needs of a service company. The aim of the software solution to be developed was to digitally map existing processes in the company, thereby enabling them to be carried out more efficiently.
Shopware booking portal of the Leuphana University of Lüneburg(2022)
At the beginning of 2021, Lüneburg's Leuphana University announced a funding project to program a booking portal for university study modules as part of the "Professional School Individuale" in order to simplify and promote continuing professional development. eWorks, as a web store agency, responded to this call for tenders with the concept of using existing standard eCommerce software as a technological basis and adapting it in such a way that it becomes a professional online store for university course booking. Although Leuphana University did not want to have an online store created in the narrower sense, this idea was nevertheless convincing due to the expected costs of this online store, because essential components such as product presentation and the checkout process did not have to be programmed from scratch. In the end, eWorks was awarded the contract for the implementation of this eCommerce project, which was mainly funded by grants.
Development and programming of the website relaunch for SE Tylose(2021)
On behalf of and together with our partner VIST (Very Interactive Sales Tools GmbH), we developed and combined the multilingual web presence of Shin-Etsu Pharma & Food Materials Distribution (SE PFMD) and SE Tylose - one of the most important cellulose ether suppliers worldwide - with eWorks responsible for the technical development and VIST for the concept and design. The website is based on the open source content management system TYPO3 in Long Term Support Version 9.5.
Online store creation www.verkaufsstore-wilhelmshaven.de(2021)
On behalf of Verkaufsstore-Wilhelmshaven, eWorks developed the online store www.verkaufsstore-wilhelmshaven.de based on the latest OXID eShop 6 generation. The objective was to shut down the existing eBay and Amazon store at short notice and replace it with an independent, individually created web store.
Optimization of data processing for the organ donation information hotline(2021)
The Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA) is a German higher federal authority for strengthening the health literacy of the population and promoting health promotion and prevention. It develops and coordinates various programs and campaigns on topics such as addiction prevention, nutrition, exercise and mental health, as well as information materials and advisory services for different target groups.
Development of a web application for recording, periodic data collection and reporting of language courses(2021)
On behalf of the Hessian Center for Everyday Language Support (HeZaS) operated by TU Darmstadt, eWorks 2021 took on the development of a web application. The aim was to create an easy-to-use web portal in which language course providers can digitally report the implementation of language courses to the coordination office and maintain statistically relevant participant data on a quarterly basis. Comprehensive statistics were also to be generated from the data collected in this way and made available to the Hessian Ministry of Labor, Integration, Youth and Social Affairs (HMSI) in the form of downloadable reports.

The service company of the German Taxpayers Association, "BdSt Steuerzahler Service GmbH", has commissioned eWorks to plan and develop the BdSt Onlineshop Internet store.
Online store development www.plexiglas-shop.com for Evonik Röhm(2020)
Darmstadt-based PLEXIGLAS® inventor Evonik Röhm GmbH - then still Evonik, since 2019 Röhm GmbH - commissioned eWorks as a certified Shopware and OXID partner to recreate the online store www.plexiglas-shop.com. The large-scale project based on the OXID eShop Enterprise B2B Edition consisted of three project phases, which were completed in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Modernization of the Microsoft Access database for INOS plant engineering and electronics production(2018)
INOS Anlagenbau und Elektronikfertigung in Biebergemünd, Hesse, has been active in cable assembly for drive and control technology and switchgear since 1980. The company uses a Microsoft Access database with Microsoft SQL Server to manage all materials, products, deliveries, processes and stocks. Originally designed as an Access Data Project (ADP), the database could no longer be used from Microsoft Office version 2013 onwards, as this combination was no longer supported by Microsoft.
BRUHN Elektro-Hausgeräte Shop with Shopware 6(2017)
Bruhn-Elektro-Hausgeräte Handelsgesellschaft mbH was founded in Weinstadt in 1979 and has developed into a leading specialist electrical retailer in the Stuttgart region. At a total of 4 locations, Elektro Bruhn offers a wide range of household electronics from well-known brands such as Siemens and Bosch. In addition to its brick-and-mortar stores, Elektro Bruhn also successfully sells its product range via a modern online store based on the advanced Shopware platform. In 2017, Elektro Bruhn was planning significant store expansions and was looking for an experienced Shopware service provider for the necessary Shopware programming. The choice fell on eWorks as a Shopware partner to take over the support and further development of the store in version 5.
TYPO3 migration, website programming and redesign for firesys(2016)
For 25 years, firesys has been supporting more than 100 companies in the creation of automated financial reports in their own corporate design based on Microsoft Word and Excel, including in-house printing.
New programming of the Thuringia archive portal with PHP, MySQL, Zend Framework and Elasticsearch(2016)
The Thuringia Archive Portal is a project of the Thuringia State Archive - Main State Archive Weimar in cooperation with the state and non-state archives of Thuringia. The archive portal currently provides access to approx. 150 archives, approx. 14,163 holdings and approx. 1.3 million archival items, which are presented with general information on the respective institution as well as specialist information on the archive holdings and archival collections.
Development of a web-based, virtual laboratory for medical training(2016)
The University Hospital Frankfurt commissioned eWorks to implement an interactive learning platform for medical training in the field of laboratory diagnostics. The learning platform offers lecturers and medical students at the university web-based access to study-related learning content, which can be activated by the lecturers according to the pace of teaching.

I.G.Bauerhin is one of the world's leading automotive suppliers and develops seat heating systems for various vehicle manufacturers. Among other things, I.G.Bauerhin supplies vehicle manufacturers and their system suppliers with steering wheel heaters, sensors for seat occupancy detection, components for air conditioning seats and electronic control units.
OXID online store development from www.bettymarcus.com(2016)
WohnSinn oHG, a store for gifts and home accessories in Mainz-Bretzenheim, expanded its product range in 2015 to include the self-founded label "Betty & Marcus". In order to be able to present the new brand more nationally and internationally in the future, eWorks was commissioned as a Hessian OXID agency to create an online store for the complete Betty & Marcus range. WohnSinn wanted to have a web store created in order to open a second eCommerce sales channel in addition to the retail store sales and to be able to realize real multi-channel sales.
Beloved home migration from xt:Commerce to OXID eShop(2015)
Geliebtes Zuhause GmbH (Gründau / Lieblos) is the operator of www.geliebtes-zuhause.de, a leading and fast-growing online store for "Lovely Home Fashion, Design and Living" with a focus on Nordic countries. As part of a technical OXID store update in combination with a redesign of the store design, eWorks, as an OXID partner of the first hour from nearby Frankfurt, was commissioned with a data migration from the existing xt:Commerce store to the new OXID eShop Enterprise Edition (OXID EE). In this way, all existing customers were to be able to continue to log in and shop in the new OXID store using their access data.
Further development of a business intelligence database for Repucom(2015)
Repucom provides comprehensive consulting services in the sports and entertainment business and supports its customers in maximizing their economic success. The globally active market research and consulting company in the sports and entertainment business, based in Cologne, has commissioned eWorks to technically and visually optimize an already developed, individual business intelligence database and to expand it to include several new areas.
Modernization of a management reporting/controlling application(2015)
The Steigenberger Hotel Group is a globally active hotel company with more than 90 hotels, which also has to solve challenging problems in the field of information technology.

The Max Rubner Institute (MRI) is a federal research institute for nutrition and food with headquarters in Karlsruhe and supports the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) in consumer health protection in the area of nutrition.
OXID store redesign for BdSt Steuerzahler Service GmbH(2015)
In 2015, BdSt Steuerzahler Service GmbH from Wiesbaden in Hesse commissioned eWorks, a long-standing certified OXID partner from neighboring Frankfurt, to redesign and technically update the aging Bund-der-Steuerzahler store. The Bund-der-Steuerzahler store was last relaunched at the beginning of 2011. However, 4 years later, the ravages of time were once again gnawing away at its (once modern) web design, which is why the look and feel of this online store needed to be optimized once again.

eWorks was commissioned by the Service-Gesellschaft des Bundes der Steuerzahler (BdSt Steuerzahler Service GmbH) to develop an automatic article import for the BdSt store www.steuerzahler-service.de.
OXID programming of the myMöbel online store with furniture configurator(2013)
The "myMöbel GbR" (Wadersloh) commissioned eWorks as a certified OXID partner with the technical conception and development of an OXID eShop-based online store for high-quality solid wood furniture: www.myMöbel.de. The highlight was the development of a furniture configurator that was not only able to customize all pieces of furniture to the wishes of the store customers, but was also able to calculate reliable yet attractive prices.
myMöbel was nominated for the "Golden Cart Award 2014" in the "Innovative Business Model" category.
OXID programming of the Econanda online store(2013)
eWorks was commissioned with the conception, design and implementation of the online store www.econanda.de. Particular attention was paid to ease of use and outstanding usability.

Webshop creation of edelstahlschrauben-mädels.de(2012)
Wagener & Simon WASI GmbH & Co. KG, a Würth Group company, commissioned eWorks with the conception, design and implementation of an online store for stainless steel fasteners. Special attention was paid to a young, fresh and humorous appearance, which was to be realized through many photos, a warm color scheme and the store name Edelstahlschrauben-Mädels. The Enterprise Edition of OXID eShop was used.
Programming and technical support of a multi-client capable portal software for utility companies(2012)
The Schwerin-based energy service provider e.dat GmbH offers its clients and their customers a wide range of services in the electricity and gas sector (e.dat itself is a company of the WEMAG Group). A portal concept was developed to improve customer service and the associated customer self-service, allowing end customers to communicate directly, efficiently and cost-effectively with e.dat.
Development of B2C product finder for Hypervital GmbH(2012)
The fitness and sporting goods manufacturer Hypervital GmbH (Waltenhofen) produces health and lifestyle products with ergonomic and medical aspects in mind, and has commissioned eWorks to develop a B2C product finder for bicycle saddles, the "Saddle Advisor".
