Microsoft Outlook macros (VBA)
...are crisp VBA macros for Microsoft Outlook as useful little helpers for daily routine tasks. As hard-working little helpers, they automate recurring problems at breakneck speed, avoid manual errors and speed up entire business processes. They also reduce the workload of the team and increase their satisfaction. VBA macros help to get to the point in a compact and crisp manner and make work better, cheaper, faster and more pleasant.
Microsoft Outlook add-ins (.NET / C#)
...are powerful Microsoft Outlook order programming according to specifications, tailor-made for your business processes on the basis of Microsoft .NET, C# and VSTO. Just like VBA macros (see above), they extend Microsoft Outlook with individual additional functions, but unlike these, they set no limits to the imagination: anything is possible! Add-ins extend Outlook with additional functions to support e-mail communication, to create or manage e-mails, appointments and contacts or to automate tasks, but can also interact with Office applications such as Access, Excel, Word or PowerPoint. Outlook add-ins integrate seamlessly into Microsoft Outlook, are always just a mouse click away and are installed conveniently and securely using the Windows Installer or software distribution system.
Microsoft Outlook exports
...are data exports from Microsoft Outlook to external data storage such as Access databases for further processing in external applications. Smaller data sets are often exported in XML or CSV files, larger data sets are typically exported to relational database servers such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL). Once in the target system, the Outlook data can be further processed or distributed to other applications in almost any way.
Microsoft Outlook imports
...are data imports from external data sources such as Access databases, project files, MSSQL servers or Exchange or Outlook calendars directly into Microsoft Outlook, typically for the purpose of data evaluation - without the effort and the inevitable input errors of a manual work process.
Microsoft Outlook interfaces
...are connections from Microsoft Outlook to external applications such as Microsoft Outlook or Exchange, e.g. for the purpose of sending emails, comparing absences or synchronizing calendars. In contrast to imports/exports (see above), Outlook data is exchanged bidirectionally and compared or synchronized with each other depending on the scenario. For this purpose, the relevant host applications such as Microsoft Outlook and, for example, Access, Outlook or MS Project are integrated directly via COM (or similar) for interfaces so that they can "talk" to each other.
Microsoft Outlook Automation
...refers to the "remote control" of Outlook for the fully automatic execution of typical Outlook activities: for example, sending e-mails (mailings, newsletters), synchronizing databases, creating appointments, synchronizing contacts, storing files, and so on...
Microsoft Outlook continuation projects
...are aimed at transferring existing Outlook folders, macros, add-ins, templates or other Outlook solutions to eWorks, typically in order to make their further development more cost-efficient, more professional or more reliable. Typical scenarios include the professionalization of previously hobbyist-developed solutions, the acceleration of further development or the compensation of personnel shortfalls. We receive the solution including source code and a brief introduction, set up the ticket system, source code management, demonstration system, etc., create the desired client accesses and off we go! A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is of course no problem. And if the development is to be brought back in-house one day, that's no problem either: only the source code is temporarily transferred to eWorks, not the rights to it. If.
Microsoft Outlook migration projects
...are special continuation projects involving the updating of outdated, possibly even dysfunctional Outlook workbooks, add-ins and VBA macros to current versions such as Outlook 365, Outlook 2019 or Outlook 2016. We analyze the affected workbook(s), develop an individual migration concept, clarify all possible solutions and jointly define the measures to be carried out. If desired, we can "only" ensure that the system functions properly, or take the opportunity to bring the look and feel up to date at the same time - small renovations to make acute improvements are just as possible as core renovations. Compared to a new development, major cost savings can often be achieved in this way - although from time to time demolition and new construction are also the best solution. Either way: Your Outlook solution regains its functionality and shines in new splendor.
Microsoft Outlook support ("extended workbench")
...is different from all the above projects in the sense that it is about your continuous support around Microsoft Outlook via e-mail and telephone by an experienced senior developer, quasi "on call". Consequently, neither a specification sheet nor a work contract is drawn up, but only a service contract as a rather loose framework agreement. The specific work orders ("tickets"), on the other hand, are only discussed and priced as soon as they arise: Day by day, ticket by ticket. No basic fee, no minimum purchase, no notice period: you only pay for what you use - software development like electricity from the socket. Minor changes and problem fixes are usually completed on the same working day, larger ones depending on the scope. We are available Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and beyond that by arrangement. We support you around Microsoft Outlook & VBA - but if necessary, you can draw from the full range: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Azure, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, WPF, UWP, SharePoint, MSSQL, PHP, TYPO3, Zend, Symfony, OXID, Shopware, jQuery, MySQL and much more - at eWorks everything from a single source! We scale with your needs, from a few working hours to tens of man-days per month. Your extended workbench for what we love: programming.
