Microsoft Excel macros (VBA)
...are crisp VBA macros for Microsoft Excel as useful little helpers for daily routine tasks. As hard-working little helpers, they automate recurring problems at breakneck speed, avoid manual errors and speed up entire business processes. They also reduce the workload of the team and increase their satisfaction. VBA macros help to get to the point in a compact and crisp manner and make work better, cheaper, faster and more pleasant.
Microsoft Excel add-ins (.NET / C#)
...are powerful Microsoft Excel job programming programs according to specifications, tailored to your business processes on the basis of Microsoft .NET, C# and VSTO. Just like VBA macros (see above), they extend Microsoft Excel with individual additional functions, but unlike these, they set no limits to the imagination: anything is possible! Microsoft Excel calculation tools & calculators
...calculate 100% fully automatically defined scenarios based on user input, data imports (e.g. from CSV or XML files or other Excel workbooks) or database content (e.g. Access databases or Microsoft SQL Server). They calculate everything that can be calculated, typically often costs, but also technical or physical quantities, dimensions and dimensioning. Typical examples are price calculators, tariff calculators or service charge calculators. All inputs are carefully validated and any errors or implausibilities are clearly identified. Calculation results are updated in real time, displayed numerically, visually processed and visualized using attractive diagrams. And thanks to the close integration with Microsoft Office, nothing stands in the way of further processing of the results: Access export, Word mail merge, printout, PDF export and e-mailing are just a few examples
Microsoft Excel exports
...are data exports from Microsoft Excel to external data storage such as Access databases for further processing in external applications. Smaller data sets are often exported to XML or CSV files, larger data sets are typically exported to relational database servers such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL). Once in the target system, the Excel data can be further processed or distributed to other applications in almost any way.
Microsoft Excel imports
...are data imports from external data sources such as Access databases, project files, MSSQL servers or Exchange or Outlook calendars directly into Microsoft Excel, typically for the purpose of data evaluation - without the effort and inevitable input errors of a manual work process.
Microsoft Excel templates & forms
...simplify the interactive, recurring creation of certain documents at the click of a mouse, because they predefine the Excel workbook structure and "only" need to be filled in by the user. Workbook protection prevents accidental (or intentional) misuse and structural integrity is guaranteed. Users do not waste valuable time on Excel formatting because the corporate design is fixed and cannot be changed - and can concentrate on what they are actually paid to do. Excel templates are available for calculations, invoices, quotations, forms and other folders. But that's not all: templates can also contain VBA macros as intelligent "little helpers" that can take over routine tasks, speed up and improve the quality of processes and at the same time relieve users.
Microsoft Excel document generators
...automatically generate documents based on the selected Excel data at the touch of a button: for example, Word mail merge letters or other Word documents, e-mails, PowerPoint presentations including dynamic agendas and, of course, PDF files. Microsoft Excel is primarily used for data integration, which can be entered interactively or imported from external data sources: Microsoft Access, SQL server, web services, SOAP, JSON, XML and of course CSV - there are no limits to the imagination! Typical examples are serial letters, customer-specific newsletters or database-supported product information sheets. Document generators produce individual or mass documents in the desired target format, guarantee conformity with the corporate design (CD) and correct content and reduce process errors and costs.
Microsoft Excel interfaces
...are connections from Microsoft Excel to external applications such as Microsoft Outlook or Exchange, e.g. for the purpose of sending e-mails, comparing absences or synchronizing calendars. Unlike imports/exports (see above), Excel data is exchanged bidirectionally and compared or synchronized with each other depending on the scenario. For this purpose, the relevant host applications such as Microsoft Excel and Access, Outlook or MS Project, for example, are integrated directly via COM (or similar) for interfaces so that they can "talk" to each other.
Microsoft Excel continuation projects
...are aimed at transferring existing Excel folders, macros, add-ins, templates or other Excel solutions to eWorks, typically to make their further development more cost-efficient, professional or reliable. Typical scenarios include the professionalization of previously hobbyist-developed solutions, the acceleration of further development or the compensation of personnel shortfalls. We receive the solution including source code and a brief introduction, set up the ticket system, source code management, demonstration system, etc., create the desired client accesses and off we go! A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is of course no problem. And if the development is to be brought back in-house one day, that's no problem either: only the source code is temporarily transferred to eWorks, not the rights to it. If.
Microsoft Excel migration projects
...are special continuation projects involving the updating of outdated, possibly even dysfunctional Excel workbooks, add-ins and VBA macros to current versions such as Excel 365, Excel 2019 or Excel 2016. We analyze the affected workbook(s), develop an individual migration concept, clarify all possible solutions and jointly define the measures to be implemented. If desired, we can "only" ensure that the system functions properly, or take the opportunity to bring the look and feel up to date at the same time - small renovations to make acute improvements are just as possible as core renovations. Development of an Excel project management tool for VGF(2022)
Stadtwerke Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main mbH (VGF) has commissioned eWorks as Frankfurt's Excel programmer to develop a project management tool based on Microsoft Excel and VBA. VGF's 2,500 employees operate over 400 rail vehicles on 10 streetcar and 9 subway lines and are responsible for the rolling and fixed infrastructure, traffic management, cleanliness, safety, service and customer service. As a service provider, VGF transports over 200 million passengers annually. VGF wanted to have a project management tool programmed in Microsoft Excel to support project management in SAP, RIBiTWO, myParm and ZEDAS in order to plan, manage and successfully complete hundreds of projects every year: Elevator installations, platform modernizations, other construction measures and much more.

Development of an Excel tool for the automatic creation of PowerPoint presentations(2020)
As a certified VBA programmer and Microsoft partner, eWorks was commissioned by the BMW Group's Lightweight Construction and Technology Center at the end of 2019 to program an Excel add-in for generating PowerPoint presentations. The objective was to provide Excel folders with a kind of mail merge function in order to be able to create several PowerPoint slides fully automatically at the push of a button according to different compositions for different target groups - simple, error-free, lightning fast.
Programming an XML interface(2015)
As the point of contact for all questions relating to energy management, the building construction department of the city of Frankfurt am Main commissioned eWorks, the Frankfurt Excel programmer, to program an Excel interface in order to transfer energy certificates entered in Excel directly to the web portal of the German Institute for Building Technology DIBt (Berlin). The aim was to quickly and easily check and transfer the energy certificate data entered in Excel and to automatically obtain a unique and centrally assigned registration number.
Excel programming of an annual meeting evaluation tool(2015)
Medela AG (Baar, Switzerland) has two divisions: "Human Milk", with globally recognized basic research and a leader in the development and manufacture of breastfeeding products and complete solutions, and "Healthcare", specializing in the development and manufacture of high-quality medical vacuum technology solutions. The company, which has been in business for over 50 years, conducts employee appraisals every six months, the results of which are recorded in Excel workbooks in German or English. eWorks also developed a customized Excel solution that reads these Excel workbooks and automatically compiles them into clear reports. Medela wanted to have Excel macros created in order to be able to evaluate annual meetings in an automated, error-free and time-saving manner.
Development of an Excel project calculator(2015)
For the German Aerospace Center (DLR), eWorks GmbH developed a Microsoft Excel application for calculating project costs for the preparation and operation of space missions.
Creation of Word templates in corporate design(2015)
The Münster-based design and communications agency KopfKunst commissioned eWorks, a Microsoft Word specialist, to create Word templates for a public law institution. The objective was to develop "intelligent" Word templates for the quick and easy creation of Word documents in the client's corporate design.
Excel tool for managing clinical codes(2015)
For ifa systems AG, a company specializing in software solutions for professional ophthalmology, eWorks GmbH has developed a tool for managing clinical codes based on an Excel workbook.
Excel programming for process automation(2013)
The Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK) commissioned eWorks with the Excel programming of an Office process automation system. The objective was to generate Microsoft Word documents fully automatically and then send them by email using Outlook 2013 based on an Excel recipient list.
Programming Word mail merge(2013)
On behalf of the globally active manufacturer of safety switching systems, K.A. Schmersal GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Wuppertal, Germany, eWorks developed a Microsoft Word document template to extend the Word mail merge functionality.
Individual software for carrying out inventories(2013)
eWorks was commissioned by a company operating throughout Europe to program a software solution based on Microsoft Office in order to optimize stocktaking. From the initial idea for the software, through implementation to the actual execution of the inventory, eWorks was able to accompany the company and provide technical support. Since then, the software has been continuously expanded with new functions and optimized for international use.
Excel programming of a commission calculator(2012)
The consulting company for personnel management in engineering ORSON Consulting GbR (Stuttgart) commissioned eWorks to develop an Excel commission calculator for calculating turnover-based employee commissions. The aim was to be able to carry out regular commission calculations for certain employees and time periods more quickly and accurately in the future.
Excel programming of a process support tool(2012)
A global service provider for "full-service interior fit-out", which offers its customers a wide range of interior fit-out and associated logistics services, commissioned eWorks to develop a software solution to support internal business processes. The objective was to program tailor-made individual software for the client's team that supports process handling, simplifies communication, reduces process errors and increases process efficiency.

Helmut von den Hoff GmbH & Co KG (Düren, Aachen, Bonn and St. Augustin) provides roofing companies with an extensive range of roofing products at first hand and has commissioned eWorks to program customized individual software to support the annual inventory process.
VBA programming Microsoft Excel duplicate finder(2011)
The airline service provider Hahn Air Interline Services GmbH (Dreieich) commissioned eWorks, in cooperation with IT Pohl (Großostheim), to develop an Excel tool for comparing Excel lists and finding duplicates: the "Duplicate Checker". The objective was to program an individual Excel solution that would support process handling and increase process efficiency.
