Data converter
convert any data from an "old" source format into a "new" target format, typically because one software generates it in the source format and another needs it in the target format. Excel VBA programming and Word template creation for Montblanc Deutschland GmbH(2026)
In spring 2024, Montblanc Deutschland GmbH (Hamburg) commissioned eWorks, a Frankfurt-based Microsoft partner and VBA service provider, to professionalize, optimise and expand an existing Excel profile tool. The Excel tool had developed steadily over the years and was in use, but had reached its technical limits.
Vorlagen-Erstellung für Word, PowerPoint, Writer, Impress und LaTeX für eine Universität aus München(2019)
2015 stand eine große Münchner Universität vor einer Herausforderung: Ein neues, modernes Corporate Design – aber die Dokumentvorlagen? Veraltet, uneinheitlich, umständlich. Gemeinsam mit der ediundsepp Gestaltungsgesellschaft mbH machte sich die Hochschule auf die Suche nach einer Lösung. Die Wahl fiel auf eWorks – Microsoft-Partner und Spezialist für maßgeschneiderte Office-Vorlagen. Die hinter dem Auftrag stehende Uni wollte professionelle Word-Vorlagen erstellen lassen, aber auch PowerPoint-Vorlagen, OpenOffice- bzw. LibreOffice-Vorlagen und sogar LaTeX-Vorlagen – eine seltene Kombination und somit Herausforderung für den Microsoft Word-Spezialisten eWorks. Zielsetzung: Einheitliche Vorlagen, die einfach funktionieren! Keine wilden Formatierungen mehr, keine ewige Suche nach der richtigen Vorlage – sondern ein durchdachtes System, das Corporate-Design-Vorgaben einhält und die Arbeit mit Dokumenten einfacher, schneller und professioneller macht. Als besondere Herausforderung galt es zudem, die unterschiedlichen Vorstellungen der einzelnen Fakultäten hinsichtlich Layout, Struktur und Inhalt zu berücksichtigen, gleichzeitig die Fülle der Vorlagen für die unterschiedlichen Applikationen aber dennoch kosteneffizient pflegen und warten zu können. eWorks überzeugte durch ein cleveres, kosteneffizientes Konzept, seine langjährige Microsoft Office Expertise und seine Erfahrung als VBA-Dienstleister – und erhielt schlussendlich den Auftrag zur Programmierung eines entsprechenden Vorlagensystems.
New programming of the Thuringia archive portal with PHP, MySQL, Zend Framework and Elasticsearch(2016)
The Thuringia Archive Portal is a project of the Thuringia State Archive - Main State Archive Weimar in cooperation with the state and non-state archives of Thuringia. The archive portal currently provides access to approx. 150 archives, approx. 14,163 holdings and approx. 1.3 million archival items, which are presented with general information on the respective institution as well as specialist information on the archive holdings and archival collections.
Programming an XML interface(2015)
As the point of contact for all questions relating to energy management, the building construction department of the city of Frankfurt am Main commissioned eWorks, the Frankfurt Excel programmer, to program an Excel interface in order to transfer energy certificates entered in Excel directly to the web portal of the German Institute for Building Technology DIBt (Berlin). The aim was to quickly and easily check and transfer the energy certificate data entered in Excel and to automatically obtain a unique and centrally assigned registration number.
PHP programming of a CSV converter(2010)
eWorks has developed a PHP application for converting booking data on behalf of Hahn Air Interline Services GmbH (Dreieich) and in cooperation with IT Pohl (Großostheim).
Word converter for WordPerfect(2009)
eWorks has developed software for batch conversion of WordPerfect 6 documents to Microsoft Word 2007 on behalf of a large German service provider.
Toolbar converter (Excel 2003 to Excel 2007)(2009)
As part of an order from hfp Informationssysteme GmbH, eWorks has developed a tool based on Excel 2007 that makes it possible to migrate a toolbar created in Excel 2003 to Excel 2007.

IFN accounting data export interface(2008)
eWorks was commissioned by IFN Finance GmbH (Cologne), a bank for factoring and financing, to develop a universal accounting data export interface based on Microsoft Excel ("Shadow Ledger").
Website migration to TYPO3(2007)
The aim of the project was to consolidate the website of a large German association consisting of countless static HTML pages and individual dynamic PHP scripts with the open source content management system TYPO3 and to give it a visual relaunch. The decision in favor of TYPO3 was made at the beginning of the project because the CMS offers a wide range of functions and guarantees vendor independence. Last but not least, an "ecosystem" of service providers with know-how and a wide range of additional modules has been created in recent years.

ConWord automatically converts complex documents from the formats Lotus WordPro (97 and Millenium), Word Perfect and MS Word (all versions) into the MS Word 97/2000/XP format.
