Windows apps
are apps for cell phones and tablet computers from various manufacturers that use the Windows operating system developed by Microsoft and are programmed in .NET. Programming a Windows app primarily requires programming skills in Microsoft .NET (depending on personal preference in C#, Visual Basic or another .NET programming language), a computer with Microsoft Windows and the .NET development environment Microsoft Visual Studio. Unfortunately, it is not possible to also use Windows apps on iOS devices or Android devices, so that double or even triple development is necessary if this should become necessary. Facebook apps
are web-based applications for integration into the Facebook social network and are developed in a similar way to a website, e.g. using PHP and HTML, and run on a web server. Development of the mobile app 100 Sekunden Morgen for Android & iOS(2024)
On behalf of the RKW Competence Center, eWorks 2023 took over the development of the mobile app "100 Sekunden Morgen" including the associated backend. The aim was to develop an app based on a cross-platform framework so that it did not have to be developed separately for Android and iOS. The backend was to offer the client's editors an easy way to create and maintain new content, which would then be displayed by the app.
