Development of a product website with TYPO3

In 2013, Medical Management GmbH from Dreieich launched a new product for the individual emergency location of high-risk patients, senior citizens, children and VIPs. With a telemedicine control center staffed by doctors throughout, the tracker offered by SOS-Privat can be used to locate the person concerned. This ensures personalized, individual and rapid assistance in emergency situations even faster than with the general public emergency services.

For the SOS-Privat department, eWorks designed a website based on the TYPO3 content management system (CMS) for this new product. The following technologies were used:

• TYPO3
• RealURL for speaking, SEO-compatible URLs
• A ticker and news system with the TYPO3 extension "tt_news"
• Image scroller for the presentation of use cases
• Customer area with access protection
• Order function with the TYPO3 online store module "tt_products"
• Questions and answers (FAQ) with accordion navigation

Since the website went live, eWorks has been supporting the operator with expansion issues, technical updates and coaching on operation.
