Development of a company website with TYPO3

eWorks supported the multimedia agency VIST (Königstein) with programming services for the development of the corporate website of InfraServ Wiesbaden(www.infraserv-wi.de). InfraServ Wiesbaden is the operating company of the Kalle-Albert Industrial Park, one of the largest industrial parks for industrial and chemical production companies in Hesse. InfraServ Wiesbaden offers the companies on site comprehensive services ranging from the supply of energy to procurement, logistics and personnel management. As part of a relaunch, the company website was to be rebuilt and expanded to include numerous functions. VIST developed the concept and design and handled the entire project management, while eWorks was responsible for the programming and deployment tasks.

The main focus was on the new design concept. The objective was to implement a responsive design so that the website can be used equally user-friendly on tablets and smartphones. To maintain the content, a rights management system was implemented so that individual areas can be maintained by the responsible editors. The integration of a language switch between German and English as well as the maintenance options for English content had to be taken into account.

In addition to the editorial content, such as an overview of the history of the industrial park and the press area, many interactive functions were also to be made possible. For example, a press release can be commented on using the Facebook comment function. Contact management is used for the standardized display of contact data and, in conjunction with the contact form, for writing directly to the desired contact person. The developed job vacancy management with connected application form supports the personnel administration in its work. For the management of seminars and training events, a seminar management system was integrated and adapted to the needs of InfraServ Wiesbaden. Finally, the management of space and real estate offers is a highlight. The location of a property within the industrial park is highlighted in color in a map view. The offers can be filtered according to category, size and price, and a detailed view provides a more detailed exposé.

Since the website went live, eWorks has provided support for entering content, user queries and requests for changes and enhancements.
