Development of an electronic form to facilitate the processing of import licenses

eWorks has implemented an electronic form for importing weapons on behalf of one of the largest German sports clubs - Deutscher Schützenbund e.V..

The aim of the development was to replace the paper-based form with an electronic entry form. This replacement was achieved by developing an online form for the entry of associations and shooters from Germany and abroad. Previously manual and therefore error-prone processes such as the subsequent amendment of submitted participant lists were made simple, comprehensible and error-free by the web-based solution that was developed. The possibility of process errors was thus eliminated and at the same time the manual processing effort was significantly reduced.

eWorks developed a technical concept based on the requirements and then implemented it. The online form was implemented using the web technologies PHP and MySQL. Open source products were used and Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP (LAMP for short) were used to host the application.
