A T-Systems development platform for complex web applications is used for group-wide online surveys, know-how databases and classic Internet applications.

The underlying framework, based on Perl and MySQL, has matured in recent years into a versatile tool with a wide range of functions.

eWorks supported the team responsible for the development platform in the new and further development of specific applications and the basic framework. Other key tasks included the analysis and optimization of performance bottlenecks under high load with several thousand simultaneous users and the acceleration of the backup strategy. The assignment took place between August and November 2005.
