SharePoint process management in the automotive marketing sector

Conception and implementation of a SharePoint database

Under considerable time pressure, a ready-to-use SharePoint database was developed within just 12 working days, which was originally intended as an interim solution, but was used productively over a period of three months due to its good practical suitability. During this time, over 20,000 processes were successfully processed.

The application, implemented as a SharePoint Modern App in SharePoint Online, supported the structured processing of customer inquiries in the automotive marketing sector. This included the acceptance of inquiries, status tracking, targeted assignment of responsibilities, comprehensive categorization options and the central management of relevant customer contact information.

The SharePoint database solution was characterized by its reduction to the essentials and good user-friendliness. It could be used out-of-the-box on desktop PCs, tablets, smartphones and various operating systems such as Windows, macOS and iOS without any adjustments. The solution was used by a total of 15 of our client's employees in direct customer contact.

The initial data loading was controlled via SharePoint API in order to import the inventory data in a batch process. eWorks managed the SharePoint database until the process was transferred to another application.
