Programming for SCHOLZ & VOLKMER GmbH
Responsive design programming and Facebook app development
eWorks has continuously supported the creative agency for digital brand management SCHOLZ & VOLKMER GmbH (Wiesbaden, Berlin) with programming services from 2010-2013. The sub-processes outsourced to eWorks included:
Implementation of sophisticated Photoshop designs (PSD) in state-of-the-art web designs with HTML and CSS - browser-compatible, search engine optimized and barrier-free.
Programming of responsive design websites with jQuery and Bootstrap to support mobile devices such as smartphones (e.g. iPhone, Android, Windows Phone etc.) and tablets (e.g. iPad, Nexus etc.).
Programming new, flash-like control elements such as sliders, file uploads and slot machines with HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery to design innovative user interfaces (GUI) for web applications.
Development of "Web 2.0" applications by integrating Google Maps, YouTube, etc. with AJAX, XML, JavaScript, jQuery and JSON.
Programming of JSON web services for data processing with ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server as well as connection to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud integration with Amazon S3.
Technical conception, specification and implementation of interfaces for data exchange via the Internet with AJAX, XML, JavaScript and JSON.
Programming of accessible web applications with PHP and MySQL for integration into an existing content management system (CMS / WebCMS / WCMS).
Development of Facebook APPs for the Facebook platform using FBML, FBJS, PHP and MySQL.
Integration of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
Development of time-controlled data import processes via cronjob to automatically validate and import large amounts of data using HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, CSV, XML, PHP and MySQL.
The web design of the pages was conceived and designed by the client and made available to eWorks. eWorks converted the graphic templates into websites and supported the client in the subsequent detailed technical conception.
The web programming was carried out iteratively and in close consultation with the agency: releases were regularly published, viewed and discussed on a staging system - change requests were then incorporated into the web application.
Since completion and going live, eWorks has been continuously available to the client and its customers for troubleshooting (warranty) and any change requests, and processes its customer's support requests.
