Programming and technical support of a multi-client capable portal software for utility companies
Standard portal software based on Zend Framework developed for e.dat GmbH
The Schwerin-based energy service provider e.dat GmbH offers its clients and their customers a wide range of services in the electricity and gas sector (e.dat itself is a company of the WEMAG Group). A portal concept was developed to improve customer service and the associated customer self-service, allowing end customers to communicate directly, efficiently and cost-effectively with e.dat.
In addition to ordering new products via a price calculator and tariff comparison, the portal software can also be used to transmit address changes and meter reading reports online, for example. Another important component of the software is the wide range of interfaces to the connected back-office systems.
eWorks took over the programming of the white-label-capable portal software in a 9-month development project. During operation, eWorks is responsible for the technical maintenance of the software, the fail-safe web cluster operation and the setup of new clients. In addition, the portal software is continuously developed and optimized to meet current and future requirements.
