Online store connection to Yatego and Amazon
Integration of an eCommerce platform into several product portals
eWorks was commissioned by a retail store operator to connect its Magento online store to the product portals "Yatego" and "Amazon", and carried out the design and development of the required interface. In detail, eWorks supported its client with the following services:
Planning of the solution to be developed in close cooperation with the technical support of the companies Yatego GmbH (St. Georgen) and Amazon EU S.a.r.l. (Luxembourg)
Technical conception of an interface with "Web Services" and "SOAP" for the purpose of integrating the webshop with "Yatego" and "Amazon Germany"
Programming the interface with Microsoft .NET and PHP to exchange product and order data with the connected product portals
Further development of the Amazon interface to increase the target group addressed by the additional integration of "Amazon UK" and "Amazon France"
Testing and quality assurance on the various test servers of the participating product portals
Functional expansion of the client's Microsoft .NET-based merchandise management software ("WaWi") to meet the data requirements of the connected platforms, in particular with regard to article images, metadata and multilingual product texts
Optimization of product presentation through tailored data preparation with regard to the portals to be connected to the web store
Ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the existing online store during the development period
The software development of the application itself took place at eWorks' premises in Frankfurt city center, but in close coordination with the client via e-mail, telephone and bug tracking system.
eWorks completed the software solution and handed it over ready to use, installed it and put it into operation. After going live, eWorks is available to its client for troubleshooting (warranty) and any change requests for the software, and processes the client's support requests.
