Development of a training platform for nanoelectronics

The multidisciplinary nanotechnology sciences are only just becoming established. To meet the emerging need for training young staff in companies and institutions, the collaborative approach is seen as the most effective way of imparting knowledge.

The aim of the "NanoTrain" project was to plan, develop, test and use a training platform for nanoelectronics: the "Virtual Performance Centered Environment for Training in Nanoelectronics". The project team - consisting of several European chairs and smaller companies - pursued this goal over a period of two years. During this time, a web-based learning, collaboration and training environment was first created and then multilingual online course content for topics such as "designing", "packaging" and others was created for learners of nanotechnology sciences.

eWorks was one of the partner companies involved and took on software development and web design tasks and advised the partners on information technology issues.
