mSysTech - E-Training Microsystems Technologies

European e-learning project for micro- and nanotechnology

The shortage of engineers in micro- and nanotechnology and the decline in the number of electrical engineering students threaten the competitiveness of the European economy. In the 21st century, the high level of research is becoming increasingly complex and interdisciplinary. There are only a few research teams, laboratories and companies that can meet the technological challenges. The online courses of the mSysTech project offer new opportunities for cooperation between vocational schools, universities and small and medium-sized enterprises in the exchange of knowledge and education. The aim of the project is to adapt and integrate the innovative and performance-oriented approaches and courses from the previous Leonardo da Vinci and Socrates/Minerva projects into vocational schools and small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of microtechnology. The focus is on the one hand on the transfer of innovation to the two new countries Romania and Bulgaria and on the other hand on the interdisciplinary field of microsystems. The primary target groups are: Experts from small and medium-sized enterprises in the fields of electronics and microsystems, engineering students and vocational schools as well as unemployed engineers seeking additional opportunities for professional development. The project was carried out in cooperation with partners from all affected areas and with different expertise.
