Microsoft Outlook programming of a field service tool
Development of an Office add-in for sales representatives with Microsoft Outlook & VBA
Kaffee-Manufaktur Heimbs Kaffee GmbH & Co. KG (Braunschweig) commissioned eWorks with the realization of a Microsoft Outlook tool for process support. The objective was to support the sales representatives with an accompanying tool that accelerates the sending of e-mails to customers and avoids process errors, in short: to increase process efficiency.
The programming was carried out in the form of VBA macros ("VisualBasic for Applications") to enable seamless integration into Microsoft Outlook. The CRM system was accessed via a Microsoft SQL Server database. The Outlook add-in requires virtually no user interface and integrates seamlessly into the usual work processes and Outlook functions.
eWorks programmed and quality-assured the Outlook solution and installed it on a target system of the client's choice. Following commissioning, eWorks was available to its client for technical support and troubleshooting under warranty.
