Programming of web-based evaluation software

eWorks was able to program software for the evaluation of electronic direct debit payments for a medium-sized financial services provider.

The software developed was designed as a web-based solution in order to be multi-user capable and at the same time manage without client installations. PHP was used as the programming language, MySQL as the database and CodeIgniter® as the model view controller (MVC) framework, as well as HTML, XML and CSS as the basic technologies.

A special feature of the evaluation software is the comprehensive reporting options from different perspectives, e.g. by time or customer groups - both in table form and in diagram form with JpGraph. All reports and diagrams as well as management summaries can be downloaded and printed as PDF documents. The raw data is imported and processed from CSV files in nightly time-controlled CronJobs

The solution was programmed in two phases over a period of four months: First, a prototype was developed in phase 1 and the feasibility of the customer requirements - also from a performance perspective - was demonstrated. In phase 2, the software was expanded to include the necessary detailed requirements. Since then, eWorks has been responsible for the operation and maintenance of the solution.
