Question / answer system for vocational training with Microsoft Excel and VBA

The management consultancy ChangeWorks GmbH & Co. KG (Mainz) offers consulting services for personality and organizational development to globally active service and industrial companies, and has commissioned eWorks with the development of eLearning questionnaires for professional development ("Vocational Training") in knowledge-intensive processes based on Microsoft Office 2007 for international use.

eWorks supported ChangeWorks GmbH & Co. KG in an advisory capacity on technical issues, as well as with the integration of the course content and the storage of the specialist logic in the Excel workbook. The user interface of the customized eLearning solution was optimized for worldwide use and evokes a feeling of familiarity among course participants thanks to the familiar Microsoft Excel application. Furthermore, by programming Excel cell formulas, conditional formatting and VBA macros, the ease of use for users has been increased and at the same time the probability of input errors has been reduced. Additional protection against misuse ensures that results cannot be manipulated by the participants of a training course and that objectively comparable results are therefore shown.

At the client's request, the implementation was carried out within an extremely tight time frame and using the weekend, so that the software solution could be completed and handed over to the client within a few working days. Since then, the client has successfully used the individually developed Excel solution to educate and train staff in order to be able to train knowledge about complex business processes more successfully and efficiently. Following commissioning, eWorks is available to the client to answer technical questions and to rectify any errors (warranty).
