Development of a corporate fashion store with OXID eShop

OXID programming of an online store for sophisticated corporate clothing

Victor Wagner & Glass GmbH (Vienna) commissioned eWorks with the programming, graphic design and conception of the web store www.wagner-glass.com. As a leading company in the Austrian textile industry, Wagner & Glass can look back on over a hundred years of company history and specializes in sophisticated corporate clothing and corporate fashion.

The online store www.wagner-glass.com was created based on the Community Edition of OXID eShop 4.7 (OXID eShop CE for short), the open source store system from the Freiburg-based eCommerce specialist OXID eSales AG.

The store development began with the graphic design of the web design based on the existing company website of Victor Wagner & Glass GmbH. After the web design had been continuously refined in close consultation with the client, it was broken down into HTML and CSS, integrated into the OXID templates and optimized for all common web browsers. To improve the findability of the new web store, search engine optimization (SEO) for Google and other search engines was then carried out. Following the store optimization, eWorks supported its client in setting up store content.

After completing the store web design, browser and search engine optimization, the OXID store was adapted to the client's specific needs, in particular its shipping rules, payment methods and numerous other setting options were tailored to the store operator's requirements. The OXID payment methods were expanded via Heidelpay connection to include PayPal, credit card, instant bank transfer and prepayment or direct debit / direct debit.

Finally, the completed online store was installed by eWorks, put into operation and handed over in a functional state. eWorks advised its client on the web hosters to consider, rented a suitable web server, installed the completed online store on the server and carried out a full functional test. On March 5, 2014, the Wagner & Glass store went online at www.wagner-glass.com. Following commissioning, eWorks supports its client in an advisory capacity, rectifies any defects (warranty) and carries out occasional enhancements to the store functions on request.
