Creating a Word letter template
Word template creation incl. Word VBA programming
The Frankfurter Verein für soziale Heimstätten e.V. offers help in various fields of social work and commissioned eWorks as a Word template creator to develop a Word template for creating letters using Microsoft Word 2010. The objective was to program a letter template that enables the fast and convenient creation of Word letters including letterhead and cover letter in the client's corporate design.
Based on the client's visual requirements, eWorks initially created a standard Word template that already contained all the fonts, colors, positioning and other design features of the corporate design (CD). However, the exciting part of the template creation only took place after handover, fine-tuning and approval: the programming of an input mask using Word programming or VBA macros (Visual Basic for Applications). This input mask queries all sender data, recipient data and document data at the start of each letter creation and then inserts these fully automatically into the created letter - correctly positioned and in line with the company design. In addition, certain text passages are automatically shown or hidden as required. It couldn't be simpler: users can "type away immediately" and concentrate on the content of the letter without having to worry about sender and recipient information first.
eWorks supported its client in the implementation of the Word letter template from the very beginning: starting with the consultation in advance, through the creation of the Word template and the programming of the required VBA macros, to the handover, fine-tuning and acceptance of the completed Word template. After commissioning, eWorks is available to its client as a Word agency for operating questions, any error reports (warranty) and possible revisions of the developed Word template.
