Access programming of a real estate database
Database creation for managing purchase profiles with Microsoft Access 2013 and VBA
On behalf of the Frankfurt-based real estate company Deutsche Realwert GmbH, eWorks, as a Microsoft Access specialist, was able to program a customized Access database to manage real estate purchase profiles.
Deutsche Realwert wanted to have a user-friendly Access database created in order to be able to record and manage real estate purchase profiles conveniently and efficiently in the future. The database development was carried out using Microsoft Access 2013 and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications): most of the functionality was developed using Access forms and Access macros, while more advanced special functions were developed using VBA programming. The main focus of the Access developers was on the design and programming of convenient Access forms for the quick and easy creation, listing, viewing, editing and deletion of purchase profiles, investors and contact persons. Following the database creation and form design, a Microsoft Excel export was set up in order to be able to evaluate and visualize real estate data in Excel at the touch of a button.
eWorks supported its client in the development of this Access project from the very beginning, as the client did not have its own database programmers: starting with the planning and design of the real estate database, through the Access programming with VBA, to the handover and commissioning of the completed Access database. The client already had the necessary Access 2010 installation at this point, so no Access conversion was necessary. Following the installation, eWorks is available to its client as an Access expert for operating questions about the developed Access database, for any error reports (warranty) and, if required, as an Access programmer for database extensions or other order programming. Since then, the client has been using the real estate database to enter, evaluate and manage real estate purchase profiles and benefits from a significant increase in the efficiency of the business processes concerned.
